Why Recycle Ink Cartridges?

Many ink cartridges can be used several times over by going through a process of being “remanufactured”.  This process consists of cleaning, servicing, refilling, testing and repackaging used cartridges.  By remanufacturing we are able to provide a cheaper alternative product to an original cartridge, whilst at the same time limiting the number of cartridges which are thrown away and put into land fill sites.  

How to Recycle Ink Cartridges

Collect as many empty ink cartridges as you can, from wherever you can.  Ask your family, friends and work colleagues to collect them for you.  Once you have collected 20 empty ink cartridges suitable for our recycling programme, simply complete the 'Phoenix Direct  Empty Ink Recycling Programme' form - download here - and post them to our FREEPOST address:

If you have collected more than 30 empty cartridges then please give our Customer Service Department a call on 08704 156 666 and we will arrange collection via courier.

Upon receipt of your cartridges we will calculate the amount due and, if this amount is less than £20, we will credit your account for you to use against your next purchase with us.  If the cartridges are valued at more than £20, you can opt to have a direct transfer into your bank account as an alternative to being given a credit.  The value of the empty cartridges fluctuates from week to week so the prices on the website will change periodically.  Please note that the prices you are paid will be the ones displayed on the website on the day your cartridges are received and will be for empty original cartridges (virgin cartridges).  We will accept non virgin cartridges (those which have already been remanufactured) but we do not pay for them.  We will only pay for empty cartridges which are on our list and if you send in cartridges which are not on the list and not recyclable we will dispose of them.

Outside the UK

Unfortunately due to the high costs involved with shipping we can only accept empty cartridges from within the UK.
